We invite you to join the 21st Annual Dining Out For Life® event on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. This is one of our favorite events because we love partnering with local restaurants! Your participation helps our mission to end the HIV epidemic in Middle Tennessee. This city-wide event involves more than 20,000 diners, 80 volunteers and more than 80 Nashville area restaurants. Local restaurants participate by contributing a percentage of their proceeds from breakfast, lunch and/or dinner services.
Please mark your calendars and plan to dine out on May 17th, and change lives while doing so!

volunteer restaurant hosts needed!
A Restaurant Host is someone with a lot of community connections, whether it be friends, family, coworkers, clients or other groups. They are assigned to represent one of our participating restaurants and will encourage their circles of influence to commit to dining with that restaurant. This role is important to the success of the restaurants and will be vital in getting diners to participate and help end the HIV epidemic in Middle Tennessee.
If interested in becoming a host please fill out this brief questionnaire and we will get back to you, shortly.
For participating restaurants
Local restaurants participate by committing to contribute 30% to 100% of gross proceeds (from food only or food and alcohol) from breakfast, lunch and/or dinner services. On this day, Nashville CARES, along with volunteers will invite friends, family and colleagues to dine with participating restaurants. This event engages your current clientele and brings new guests into your restaurant.
Why Participate? Restaurant Agreement
Support from sponsors makes it possible for us to continue the fight to End the HIV Epidemic in Middle Tennessee. As a sponsor, you will have opportunities for employee involvement, high-impact marketing efforts, and the option to have a presence at events. This gives you the chance to interact directly with our supporters, volunteers, and advocates.
about Nashville cares
Founded in 1985, Nashville CARES is the premier HIV/AIDS service organization in Tennessee. Annually, we serve more than 50,000 people statewide and provide comprehensive services to clients throughout 17 counties in Middle Tennessee. We provide targeted education, free and confidential HIV testing, and a broad range of comprehensive services to individuals who are at-risk for or living with HIV.
Our mission is to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Middle Tennessee. We work to achieve this through education, advocacy, and support for those at risk for or living with HIV.
It’s our vision to see a community where HIV infections are rare, and when they do occur, everyone with HIV/AIDS has access to care, treatment, and support to achieve optimal health and self-sufficiency without stigma or discrimination.
According to the CDC, more than 18,000 Tennesseans are living with HIV and 1 out of 8 who are HIV positive do not know their status.
