Get Involved

On Thursday, April 6th, the local community will unite to help Food & Friends provide so much more than a meal. The funds raised through Dining Out for Life support children and adults in the Washington area facing HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses.

Dining Out for Life is a GREAT way to show your compassion for our neighbors in need. Participating restaurants pledge between 25-110% of their proceeds on this one day in support of Food & Friends' life-saving services. In turn, Food & Friends rallies the community to DINE OUT and support participating restaurants. Join us for a fantastic day of philanthropy, fun and community commitment. Contact Toresha Tate to sign up now at ttate@foodandfriends.org or (202) 269-6826.

Volunteering is a great way to do something good for the community and feel great while doing it!  This April, we need your help to make Dining Out for Life a success by serving as a Restaurant Host. As a Restaurant Host you'll be stationed at one of our participating restaurants on April 6th during lunch or dinner service hours. Your primary responsibility is to invite all of your friends, family and colleagues to dine with you, as well as greet and thank diners for coming out in support of Food & Friends. We hope you will join us to help make this day a huge success - the value to our neighbors living with HIV/AIDS and cancer is immeasurable!
