Join our 1st Honorary Chair, Portland Gay Men's Chorus, on April 27, 2017 for Dining Out For Life Portland's 9th year!
When you dine at a participating restaurant on this day, between 20%-35% of your bill goes directly to EMO's HIV Day Center and Partnership Project . Both organizations work closely together to provide vital programs and services to thousands of individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
Partnership Project is entering its 21th year of providing critical services to HIV positive individuals in the Portland Metro area. Last year 900 people living with HIV/AIDS were served through our Medical and Nursing Case Management services. We help individuals get into medical care, maintain insurance, take their medications and connect to essential supportive services.
EMO's HIV Day Center, celebrating its 27th anniversary this year, is the oldest multi-service drop in center for low income individuals infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in the United States. The Center serves approximately 300 people yearly, providing them with two hot meals a day, information and referral services, computer and internet access, phones, shower and laundry facilities and recovery support as well as volunteer professionals who provide services such as massage therapy, acupuncture and haircuts. The Daily Bread Express program delivers weekly meals and supplemental groceries to more than 60 homebound individuals.
