AIDS Vancouver Island serves the needs of people infected
and affected by HIV and hepatitis C. We take evidence-based
action to prevent infection, provide support, and reduce stigma.

Working across the whole of Vancouver Island
– from Victoria to Port Hardy and Nanaimo to Ucluelet –
AVI has developed many innovative and effective approaches to the challenges posed by HIV/AIDS.

Prevention work with high risk groups using theatre;
nutritional support through a hot meal program;
workshops and events that bring communities and individuals together to discuss their personal
experiences and find mutual solutions - AVI is continually seeking to improve the services we offer and to meet
the needs of our client populations.
