On Thursday, April 29, 2010, more than 100 restaurants and bars in San Diego will donate a minimum of 25% of their sales to raise more than $100,000 for The Center’s HIV/AIDS services and prevention programs.
How can you get involved?
Serve as one of our awesome Ambassadors! As a Restaurant Ambassador your job will be to get as many of your friends, co-workers, family, classmates and neighbors to dine at your assigned restaurant on Thursday, April 29, 2010, thereby packing your location and maximizing their donation to The Center! You will making a big difference in the effort to end HIV/AIDS in our community! There are plenty of other opportunities to help out, too!
Street Team
Get out in your neighborhood and get the word out about Dining Out for Life! Members of our street team go to businesses and other public places, hanging posters and handing out dining guides. The more people who learn about us, the more people who dine out and join our community!
Phone Team
Get in touch with restaurants and help us have a great list in our dining guide! We'll provide the script and all the information you'll need, and you'll call restaurants to encourage them to sign up. Call from our office - all you need is great phone skills!
Materials Team
Stuff, label, count, seal, bag, and bind to get materials and letters together for restaurants and volunteers.
Distribution Team
Deliver dining guides and posters to participating restaurants and other supporters in your neighborhood.
Data Team
After Dining Out for Life, we'll need to enter data, data, and more data! We'll need lots of help from data entry volunteers who are comfortable on a computer and detail-oriented.
