Dining Out Will Save a LIFE!

When you dine at a participating restaurant on this day, between 20%-35% of your bill goes directly to EMO's HIV Day Center and Partnership Project . Both organizations work closely together to provide vital programs and services to thousands of individuals living with HIV/AIDS.

Partnership Project is entering its 21th year of providing critical services to HIV positive individuals in the Portland Metro area. Last year 900 people living with HIV/AIDS were served through our Medical and Nursing Case Management services. We help individuals get into medical care, maintain insurance, take their medications and connect to essential supportive services.

EMO's HIV Day Center, celebrating its 27th anniversary this year, is the oldest multi-service drop in center for low income individuals infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in the United States. The Center serves approximately 300 people yearly, providing them with two hot meals a day, information and referral services, computer and internet access, phones, shower and laundry facilities and recovery support as well as volunteer professionals who provide services such as massage therapy, acupuncture and haircuts. The Daily Bread Express program delivers weekly meals and supplemental groceries to more than 60 homebound individuals.

You can learn more about both organizations by visiting www.oshu.edu/partnership and http://www.emoregon.org/HIV-day_center.

Check out the Participating Restaurants Page to see which of your favorites are supporting Dining Out For Life this year! Remember, you can support Dining Out For Life during breakfast, lunch, dinner, or cocktail hours!

Through financial and in-kind partnership with Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon/ HIV Day Center & OHSU/Partnership Project you can join us in the production of Dining Out for Life Portland.

This event raises awareness around the needs of persons living with HIV and raises funds to support critical services offered by EMO/ HIV Day Center and OHSU/Partnership Project.

We have a variety of marketing platforms. The benefits associated with partnership provide wide visibility your business.

Words from one DOFL partner, Central Drug Pharmacy, “By offering financial support to Dinning Out for Life Portland, Central Drugs has been able to increase its visibility in communities that may not have otherwise known of our organization.  Many people see us as a locally owned “Mom and Pop” pharmacy, but through the visibility associated with contributing to Dining Out for Life Portland, individuals and providers now view us as much more a part of the community and have become more aware of the specialized and unique services we offer.”

All Dining Out For Life Portland Corporate Partners benefit from:

  • Participation in an international campaign that has raised over $4 million since 1991 to support Persons Living with HIV in over 50 cities
  • Customized marketing opportunities reaching a broad audience
  • A demonstration of community commitment to vital health services & to the quality of life in the greater Portland area for those people affected by HIV
  • An affiliation with two high quality HIV services organizations that have a long history in the greater Portland community, providing services to over 1,000 persons living with HIV annually
