Dining Out for Life® in Minnesota set for Thursday, April 30, 2015! Join us!!
This year, 225 Participating Restaurants in the Twin Cities, Duluth, Lanesboro, and Mankato have agreed to donate a portion of their proceeds to The Aliveness Project.
Founded in 1985, The Aliveness Project is a local nonprofit organization and community center providing on-site meals, food shelf options, integrative therapies, and vital services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS throughout Minnesota. 75% of our members live in poverty and depend on us for daily meals.
In 2014, with a new home, a small but dedicated staff, and over 1,600 volunteers, The Aliveness Project will have a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of more than 1,700 adults and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Our new center at 3808 Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis offers a much-improved space, greater capacity to serve thousands of meals and provide a larger number of services for more members, and light-filled open space to host community events and collaborations.
Last year's Dining Out for Life raised over $257,000 in donations from generous restaurants, sponsors, and 37,000 individual diners. This year, our goal is $275,000 and 40,000 diners on Thursday, April 30. We invite you to Dine Out, Do Good and have fun as you contribute and help us reach and surpass those numbers!
